About me

My name is Onno. After more than 20 years of experience in Eastern martial arts and medicine, such as Wing Chun, Japanese sword fighting and shiatsu, I have further developed myself in Qigong. This art combines movement, breathing and energy in a way that benefits both body and mind. In addition to Qigong, I provide acupuncture treatments. Acupuncture is a treatment method that focuses on restoring balance and promoting the body's self-healing capacity. This fits in perfectly with my interest in Eastern medicine and a holistic approach to health. Qigong has many different styles, each with its own focus. Some are aimed at improving your health and physical condition, others more on the spiritual aspect. There are also styles that are known as internal martial arts, such as Taijiquan, Xingyiquan and Baguazhang. I am currently training with Mimi Kuo-Deemer and shifu Liu Xuyang to become a teacher of internal martial arts, with a focus on Xinyiquan and Baguazhang. In December 2023 I successfully completed the annual program “Qigong Teacher Training Mentorship” with Mimi. I am grateful for the inspiration and insights I have gained from teachers such as shifu Wachtberger, Alan Nash, Kawada sensei, Aris sensei and Ishido sensei. I teach in beautiful places in The Hague and am always looking for new ways to share my knowledge. In addition, I offer acupuncture treatments for those looking for more balance and health. Feel free to contact me for workshops, treatments or more information!

"It's nice that you also talk about the background of the exercises in relation to Eastern medicine such as the meridians and five element theory"
