Qigong is a form of Chinese movement that improves your physical and mental health. I have put together a unique lesson program especially for surfers. With these ancient exercises your surfing experience and well-being are brought to a higher level.


The exercises provide more stability and relaxation, better coordination and mobility, and strong, flexible muscles and tendons.


The program is suitable for everyone, but commitment and willingness to get serious are required (homework). The exercises are sometimes challenging and require some perseverance. We will start this unique program for the third year in 2025.

Surf Qigong is an effective and unique practice that combines the ancient Chinese art of Qigong with the challenging sport of surfing. Surf Qigong can help you improve your physical fitness, mental focus and overall well-being. Create more connection with yourself and the sea!


The Surf Qigong program combines core strengthening exercises with dynamic movements, balance training, standing meditation and visualization that enhance the surfing experience. With regular practice, you can improve your balance, flexibility and coordination, overcome your fears and increase your mental focus


The program is based on 5 basic principles: balance, mobility, condition, alignment and relaxation. These principles are covered in the program and deepened and acquired through practice. The training consists of the following components:


• Warm-up to prepare your body for movement and get your energy flowing

• Standing meditation to center your mind and cultivate inner awareness

• Balance training to keep you stable on your board and respond to the wave

• Core strengthening exercises to improve your paddling power and overall surfing performance

• Dynamic movements that challenge your balance, coordination and agility


Whether you are an experienced surfer looking to take your skills to the next level or a beginner looking for more challenge and good condition, Surf Qigong offers unique possibilities. As a surfer and Qigong teacher I am happy to guide you through the theory and exercises.
